Summary

Update Rollup 1 for Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard is now available.

This update fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article. Additionally, this update adds a new feature.

Issue 1

The following alert notifications do not appear in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard:
  • "An error prevented Backup from completing successfully"
  • "An error prevented Backup from starting"
  • "The server restarted"
  • "The server shut down unexpectedly"

Issue 2

Assume that you select a language that is not the default installation language on the Remote Web Access logon webpage of Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. In this situation, you cannot log on to Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard through the Remote Web Access webpage. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Remote Web Access is not allowed for your user account. Contact the person who manages your server.

Issue 3

When you run the Active Directory Group Converter Wizard (Groupconverter.exe) in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard, the wizard is named "Windows SBS "7" Active Directory Group Converter" incorrectly.

Issue 4

The Remote Web Access webpage takes longer than expected to load a shared folder. The load time increases if there are more shared folders.

Note Each shared folder takes about one second to load.

Issue 5

Consider the following scenario:
  • You route faxes to a Microsoft SharePoint website in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard.
  • You open Fax Center to view the received faxes.
In this scenario, the "Name of sender," "Caller ID," and "Time received" columns for these faxes are blank. Only the number of pages and the TIFF file names are displayed.

Issue 6

After you install a SharePoint update in Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard, the following event is logged in the Application event log:Note To complete the installation, you must manually run the PSConfig utility.

New feature

This update adds the following alert to Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard. The alert appears when a domain administrator logs on to a server that is running Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard or a client computer. The alert appears if the PSConfig utility was not run after a SharePoint update was installed.
