Incorrect deduction values on 941 and W-2 reports in Microsoft Dynamics SL

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

You notice that when you print the W-2 Forms (02.741.00) or the 941 Quarterly Federal Tax Worksheet (02.750.00) report in Microsoft Dynamics SL, some values are incorrect.

To help troubleshoot this problem, a custom report was created. This report contains the following items:
  • Each deduction amount
  • The subject wages
  • Total exemptions
  • Gross earnings that are subject to the deduction
  • A variance amount if what the report calculates and what is stored in the database for the deductions for each employee differs
Note You can also use this custom report to verify that the data on the W-2 Forms (02.741.00) and the 941 Quarterly Federal Tax Worksheet (02.750.00) reports is correct.
