View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You create a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0-based Windows Forms application. The application displays a report in a ReportViewer control.
  • You connect a Terminal Services session to a terminal server, and then you start the application. The Terminal Services Easy Print driver is enabled on the server.
  • You click Print in the ReportViewer control to print the report in the application.
  • You select a nondefault redirected printer to print the report.
In this scenario, the print task fails. Additionally, an access violation occurs, and then you receive the following error message:
<Application name> has encountered a problem and needs to close.
