Microsoft Forefront may cause account masks to be removed in Microsoft FRx 6.7

Symptoms

When you open a building block the formatting still exists, however the account masks are missing.

Cause

Forefront and other antivirus software may cause unwanted behavior with FRx if exclusions are not created for the FRx processes and files.

Resolution

The following three exclusions actions should be used together to confirm all FRx processes and files are not being scanned:


1. Create exclusions for the following file types:

*.F32
*.G32
*.MDB

2. Create an exclusion for the shared SysData folder.

3. Create exclusions for the FRx processes:

FRx32.exe
FRxa32.exe
FRxReportManager.exe
WebAdministrator.exe
Drill32.exe
Launch32.exe

AAwizard.exe  (available only if the Analytical Accounting Add-in is installed)

Microsoft.FRx.Integrations.DimensionWizard.Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.exe (available only with the Dynamics AX accounting system)
