    • You start a RDP session on the server.
    • You open an email message that contains a Word document as an attachment.
    • You try to preview the Word document in Outlook 2010.

In this scenario, you receive the following error message:

"This file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following previewer:"
    Microsoft Word Previewer
  • Assume that you use Office 2010 to create Information Rights Management (IRM) protected content. When you try to publish the content to an Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) server, you receive the following error message:

Unexpected error occurred. Please try again later or contact your system administrator.

Note This issue occurs because no Server Connection Point (SCP) or external URL is set for the AD RMS server.
  • You set the display language of Office to match the display language of Windows in the Office 2010 language settings. However, after you change the display language of Windows to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) (zh-TW), the display language in Office does not change to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) (zh-TW) as expected.

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • An AD RMS server’s friendly name contains parentheses "(" or ")" characters.
    • You do not have permissions to open the IRM protected content that is located on the AD RMS server.
    • You use Office 2010 to open the IRM protected content on the AD RMS server.
    • A dialog box prompt you to change to another user account that has permissions.
    • You click the Change User button in the dialog box, and then you select an appropriate user.

In this scenario, you cannot open the IRM protected content. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

"Cannot verify user information at this time"

  • Consider the following scenario:
    • You connect to the Internet through a proxy server that is configured to use Basic authentication.
    • You configure your web browser to use automatic proxy.
    • You try to use Office 2010 to open a document on a website.

In this scenario, you cannot open the document.
