Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You use the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)-based SAP adapter (also known as Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for mySAP Business Suite 3.0) on a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server.

Note This adapter is included in Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 or in Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2010.
  • When you use the WCF-based SAP adapter to receive an intermediate document (IDOC) from the SAP system, an error occurs.

For example, the SAP RFC destination is not configured for Unicode, or the Partner Profile is set to the wrong IDOC Segment release.
In this scenario, BizTalk Server stops receiving IDOCs, and you do not receive notification of an error.
