An update is available that extends the number of access proxies in Lync Server 2010

Introduction

By default, the maximum number of access proxies in an access proxy array in Microsoft Lync Server 2010 is 10. The number of incoming connections that an access proxy can accept from a single federated partner is 80.

Note Each access proxy can create up to 8 incoming connections.

More Information

After you apply the following update, the maximum number of access proxies in an access proxy array increases to 256. Therefore, the number of incoming connections that an access proxy can accept from a single federated partner is 2048:
