SharePoint Health Analyzer rules do not automatically defragment the property store in SharePoint Server 2010

Symptoms

Assume that you apply a set of health rules in SharePoint Health Analyzer to automatically defragment the property store in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010. When SharePoint Health Analyzer runs these rules, they check the property store status but they do not automatically defragment the property store.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix updates:

  • 2536591 Description of the SharePoint Foundation 2010 hotfix package (sts-x-none.msp): June 30, 2011
  • 2536588 Description of the SharePoint Server 2010 hotfix package (osrchwfe-x-none.msp): June 28, 2011
