You have to manually restart an APPC print session against the AS/400 when you configure the print session retry setting as infinite in Host Integration Server 2009

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2009 environment, you use Advanced Program-to-Program Communications (APPC) print sessions against the AS/400. When you configure the print session retry setting as infinite, you notice that the print sessions do not go active after an AS/400 initial program load (IPL) is configured. Therefore, you have to restart the print session manually.
