Manifested freight costs are incorrectly assigned to shippers in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Order Management in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
  • You create a new freight term on the Freight Terms (40.210.00) screen that allows for free freight if a sales order meets a specified balance.
  • On the Sales Orders (40.100.00) screen, you create a sales order that meets the balance requirement for free freight.
  • On the Shippers (40.110.00) screen, you generate a shipper for part of the total order.
  • You click the Manifest button on the Shippers (40.110.00) screen, and you manifest the shipper on the Manifest Entry (40.115.00) screen.
  • You save the shipper, and you review the Totals tab.
After you save the shipper in this scenario, you notice that the Totals tab reflects freight charges. You do not expect freight charges to be included for this shipper because the sales order meets the minimum balance to receive free shipping.

Resolution
