More information

The About Microsoft program name box (on the Help menu) displays the following information:
  • Program Name
  • Program Version

The version number is displayed as a six-digit number separated by periods, x.x.xxxx. For example, Access 2000 may display the version number as:
9.0.2720
The last four digits of the version number are from the Mso9.dll file. This four-digit number represents the version of the Mso9.dll file that is installed on your system. Access 2000, Excel 2000, and Word 2000 obtain these numbers from the Mso9.dll file.

The last four digits of the version number may vary, depending on which version of the Mso9.dll file is installed on your system. Version 2720 of the Mso9.dll file is included with Microsoft Office 2000. Your version may vary, depending on whether you installed a product that has a newer version of the file or you applied an update that modified or replaced the file.
