Symptoms

Characters in the HelveticaNeueLT Com 57 Cn font are displayed incorrectly in Portable Document Format (PDF) files that are generated from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1).
When you generate a PDF file by using the PDF file format in Microsoft Dynamics AX, the characters in the HelveticaNeueLT Com 57 Cn font are displayed as dots. Additionally, when you generate the PDF file that has the PDF embedded font file format, the characters are not formatted as expected.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
