FIX: You cannot override the TCP/IP address of the remote environment when you use the BizTalk Adapter for Host Applications in a Host Integration Server 2010 environment

Symptoms

When you use the Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for Host Applications to communicate with an IBM mainframe application in a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 environment, you cannot programmatically override the TCP/IP address of the remote environment (RE).

Cause

This problem occurs because the BizTalk Adapter for Host Applications does not expose a client context property that lets the TCP/IP address of the RE be overridden programmatically.

Resolution

Hotfix information

More Information

After you apply this hotfix, the RE TCP/IP address that is used by the BizTalk Adapter for Host Applications can be overridden by using a new property that is named IPAddress. The IPAddress property can be passed in an XML document just as other RE properties such as the PortOverride property can be passed.
