Errors occur when using Canon printer drivers to print from Windows Internet Explorer 9

When you print from Windows Internet Explorer 9 using Canon printer drivers (imageRUNNER, imageCLASS, imagePRESS, Satera, i-SENSYS, and LASER SHOT), you may receive error message similar to the following:

Error pop-up: Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.



Error pop-up: Message from webpage
There was an internal error, and Internet Explorer is unable to print this document.

Cause

The Canon Printer Driver being used is not compatible with Windows Internet Explorer 9.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, download the update that is available in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 2522422. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
