Symptoms

Assume that you run the Reverse transaction function on a value-added tax (VAT) transaction that has an Excise record type specified in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1) with the India localization layer installed. When you run the VAT inquiry function on the transaction, the VAT tax code and the VAT amount that are related to the reversed transaction are not displayed in the VAT transactions dialog box. Additionally, when you run the Excise inquiry function on the transaction, the Excise tax code and the Excise amount that are related to the reversed transaction are not displayed in the Excise transactions dialog box.

Cause

This problem occurs because, when you run the Reverse transaction function on a VAT transaction that has an Excise record type specified, the TaxTrans_IN table is not updated as expected.

Restart requirement

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation

To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
