Xbootmgr fails when resultpath is set to removable disk


Symptoms

While running Xbootmgr.exe to collect boot information, for example:  

  Xbootmgr –trace boot –resultpath f:\results

Where f is a removable disk , you might receive following errors:

 Couldn't find kernel logger in active logger list.

 Couldn't find user-mode logger in active logger list.

 Unable to stop trace.

 Couldn't find kernel logger in active logger list.

 Couldn't find user-mode logger in active logger list.

Cause

Xbootmgr fails when resultpath is set to a removable disk.

Resolution

Set the resultpath to any local fixed disk
