Options in the "Show Columns" submenu is inconsistent between different sessions in a Lync Server 2010, Group Chat client

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You open a chat room by using a Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Group Chat client.
  • You select or clear an option in the Show Columns submenu. Then, you log off the Group Chat client.
  • You log on to the Group Chat client, and then you open the chat room again.
In this scenario, the previous setting in the Show Columns submenu is lost.

Note The Show Columns option is located under the View menu in a Group Chat client.

To resolve this issue, install the following cumulative update:
