View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • In Windows Server 2008, you use the DNS Microsoft Management Console (MMC) to create a static A record in an Active Directory-integrated DNS zone.
  • In the DNS MMC, on the View menu, you enable Advanced.
  • You view the properties for the static A record.
  • You click to select the Delete this record when it becomes stale check box.
In this scenario, the Timestamp attribute is not populated as expected. Additionally, the A record is not updated to a dynamic record.
