Error message when you try to open the Sales Performance Dashboard for editing in Microsoft Dynamics CRM: "Cannot Edit Dashboard"

Symptoms

When you try to open the Sales Performance Dashboard for editing in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you receive the following error message:

Cannot Edit Dashboard
The dashboard could not be opened. Maximum no. of columns allowed in the layout is 4.

Cause

The dashboard editor does not allow dashboards with more than three columns.

Resolution

A fix will be reviewed for the next release of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This will not be changed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.
