This update package fixes the issues that are described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:
  • 2401878 Changes to the Response Group Service do not take effect after you install the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 cumulative updates that are dated July 2010
  • 968882 Error message when you open an audit log file for Communications Server 2007 R2: "The process cannot access the log file because is being used any another process"

  • 968880 Response Group Service cannot start if you assign a certificate that has a wildcard in the Subject Name to Communications Server 2007 R2

  • 968878 Response Group Service cannot start if you assign a certificate that has a wildcard in the Subject Name to Communications Server 2007 R2

  • 968911 After you restart the Communications Server 2007 R2 Response Group Service, the service does not send calls to agents

Removal information

Note This update cannot be uninstalled by using Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel if this is the only update that is applied for Web Components.

When you try to uninstall this update from Add or Remove Programs, you receive the following error message:

Failed to schedule install of IIS Virtual Directories (-2147023728)

When you click OK, you receive the following error message:

Fatal error during Installation

This update for Web Components can only be uninstalled from a command line by using the following command:
msixec /i "Absolute PathToWebComponents.msi" MSIPATCHREMOVE="AbsolutePathToWebComponents.msp" SKIPCONFIGUREIIS=1
The following are two examples:
