Unhandled thread exception caught error occurs when selecting a NAV organization when configuring the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Symptoms

After retrieving the list of Microsoft Dynamics NAV organizations to integrate in the Connector for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the following error occurs when clicking on an organization:

Unhandled thread exception caught. Exception while trying to create an instance of the Dynamics NAV integration pages.

Cause

The connector was not enabled within the Marketing Setup section in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Resolution

1. On the Microsoft Dynamics NAV server, click Start click Programs and select Microsoft NAV 2009 R2 to open NAV.
2. Click the Departments button in the lower left-hand corner.
3. Click Administration, click Application Setup, click Sales & Marketing, click Marketing, and select Marketing Setup under Tasks.
4. Expand the Synchronization section
5. Mark the Enable Connector checkbox and click OK.
