Some employee timecards missing in the Employee Timecard Status window in the HR or Payroll tabs for HRMSSS for Business Portal using Microsoft Dynamics GP

Symptoms

In Human Resources Management Self Service Suite (HRMSSS) for Business Portal, some employee's timecards are missing in the Employee Timecard Status window under the Human Resources and Payroll Admin tabs.

Cause

The employee will not be listed in this window if they have a 'salaried' type paycode assigned to them in Microsoft Dynamics GP. Timecards are designed to be entered by 'hourly' employees, so if a salaried type paycode is assigned to the employee (even if they also have an hourly type paycode), they will drop off this window. This is by design.

Resolution

Go to Microsoft Dynamics GP and inactivate the salaried type paycode and you should see the employee listed on the Employee Timecard Status window in the HR or Payroll tabs again.

If the employee needs to have this extra salaried type paycode, then they will not show up on the Employee Timecard Status window in the HR or Payroll tabs by design.  One other alternative would be to re-set that paycode up as an hourly type paycode instead of salaried.
