This error may occur in one or more of the following scenarios:
  • You sell an inventory ID, and you use a UOM value other than the value that you have set up as the Sales UOM value for the inventory ID in the Inventory Items (10.250.00) screen.
  • You try to perform the Confirm Shipment order step for a shipper that is marked as a Drop Ship shipper, and this step contains an inventory ID that is lot-tracked.
  • You have set up unit conversions in the Unit Conversions (10.270.00) screen for the inventory ID that is being shipped.
  • You try to perform the Confirm Shipment order step in the Release or Confirm Shipper (40.110.01) screen for a shipper that contains lot-tracked or serial-tracked inventory IDs.
  • You try to perform the Confirm Shipment order step in the Release or Confirm Shipper (40.110.01) screen for a shipper that has an order type of Non-Order Shipment.
  • You use serial-tracked inventory IDs on a shipper, and a previous shipper for these serial numbers was confirmed and then canceled.
  • You try to confirm a shipper that was created by a sales order that is linked to a work order.
  • You try to confirm a shipper that has an order type of Debit Memo.
  • You set up a unit conversion for an inventory item, and the item being sold in one UOM has more quantity than the original stock amount.
