An update that improves the print performance of XPS documents in Windows 7 and in Windows Server 2008 R2 is available

Summary

Consider the following scenario:

You are printing XPS documents using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2. You may notice the following performance issues:
  • You cannot print certain webpages to a Graphics Device Interface (GDI) printer. This issue occurs when a webpage contains large images.
  • The spool file size is too large when you print a webpage that has a large background image to a GDI printer.
  • You cannot print XPS documents when Application Verifier (AppVerifier) is enabled. For example, this issue occurs when you are running a 32-bit version of AppVerifier on a 64-bit version of Windows.

This update fixes various issues�for Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2 that decrease print performance when printing XPS documents.
