Summary

This article describes an update that is available for the Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010 service to enable Read access to large virtual storage access method (VSAM) key-sequenced dataset (KSDS) files that have variable-length records on the host.

Note Currently, the host file provider fails when it tries discriminated unions. The host file provider fails even when it tries discriminated unions to a KSDS file that has fixed-length records.
