When a network projector is connected to a Windows 7-based computer, some desktop areas are not displayed

Symptoms

When you connect a Windows 7-based computer to a network projector, parts of the desktop may not be forwarded to the network projector. 

For example, the Start  button may be displayed as a black square on the network projector.

Cause

This issue occurs because Windows 7 does not switch modes correctly when the screen resolution and color depth settings are changed.

Workaround

Move the pointer over the areas that are displayed incorrectly.
