INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

 Consider the following scenario:
  • You configure claims authentication for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010.
  • You enable session cookies on the SharePoint server. 
  • You create a SharePoint 2010 site.
  • You log on to the SharePoint 2010 site that triggers authentication at the first attempt. 
  • You force the authentication to expire.
  • You log on the SharePoint 2010 site.
In this scenario, an infinite loop for authentication occurs. Additionally, you cannot access the SharePoint 2010 site until the cookie is deleted.

Resolution

Hotfix information
