Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 service pack or the next Microsoft Dynamics NAV version that contains this hotfix.

Note You do not have to have rights to the data stores unless you have to perform data repair.

Code changes

Note Always test code fixes in a controlled environment before you apply the fixes to your production computers.
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
  1. Change the code in the Invt. Valuation - Cost Spec. report (5801) as follows:
    Existing code
    ...
    IF "Item Ledger Entry".FIND('-') THEN
    REPEAT
    RemainingQty := 0;
    PosQty := 0;
    IsPositive := GetSign;
    CalcRemainingQty;

    IF RemainingQty <> 0 THEN BEGIN
    TotalRemQty := TotalRemQty + RemainingQty;
    TotalPosQty := TotalPosQty + PosQty;

    WITH ValueEntry DO BEGIN
    ValueEntryFilters := ValueEntry.GETVIEW;
    ValueEntry.SETRANGE("Item Ledger Entry No.","Item Ledger Entry"."Entry No.");
    FOR i := 1 TO ARRAYLEN(LocalCostTotal) DO
    LocalCostTotal[i] := 0;

    IF ValueEntry.FIND('-') THEN
    ...
    Replacement code
    ...

    IF "Item Ledger Entry".FIND('-') THEN
    REPEAT
    RemainingQty := 0;
    PosQty := 0;
    IsPositive := GetSign;
    CalcRemainingQty;

    IF RemainingQty <> 0 THEN BEGIN
    TotalRemQty := TotalRemQty + RemainingQty;
    TotalPosQty := TotalPosQty + PosQty;

    WITH ValueEntry DO BEGIN
    SETRANGE("Item Ledger Entry No.");//<<Added line
    SETRANGE("Entry Type");//<<Added line
    ValueEntryFilters := ValueEntry.GETVIEW;
    ValueEntry.SETRANGE("Item Ledger Entry No.","Item Ledger Entry"."Entry No.");
    FOR i := 1 TO ARRAYLEN(LocalCostTotal) DO
    LocalCostTotal[i] := 0;

    IF ValueEntry.FIND('-') THEN

    ...
  2. Create a new CalcDiv function that uses the Decimal type for the Div return value in the Report Definition Layout (RDL). To create this function, follow these steps:
    1. Add a new local paramater, and then specify the paramater as follows:
      • Name: Amount1
      • DataType: Decimal
    2. Add a new local paramater, and then specify the paramater as follows:
      • NameAmount2
      • DataType: Decimal
    3. Add the code as follows:
          if Amount2 <> 0 then
      Div = Amount1 / Amount2
      else
      Div = 0
      end if
      Return Div

  3. All values in the calculated fields that are calculated from one calculated field value divided by another calculated field value should be changed to use the CalcDiv function as follows:
    Example 1
    Existing code
                              <Value>=Sum(Fields!TotalCost.Value)/Abs(Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value))
    Replacement code
                              <Value>=Code.CalcDiv(Sum(Fields!TotalCost.Value),Abs(Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value)))
    Example 2
    Existing code
                              <Value>=(Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_1_.Value) + (Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_2_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_3_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_4_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_5_.Value))*(1-iif(Sum(Fields!PosQty.Value)=0,0,Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value)/Sum(Fields!PosQty.Value))))/Abs(Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value))
    Replacement code
                              <Value>=Code.CalcDiv((Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_1_.Value) + (Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_2_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_3_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_4_.Value)+Sum(Fields!TotalCostTotal_5_.Value))*(1-Code.CalcDiv(Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value),Sum(Fields!PosQty.Value)))),Abs(Sum(Fields!RemainingQty.Value)))
  4. All occurrences of the Hidden property of the IIF statement for the footer show should be changed as follows:
    Existing code
                        <Hidden>=iif(Fields!ShowFooter1.Value,false,true)
    Replacement code
                        <Hidden>=iif(Max(Fields!ShowFooter1.Value),false,true)

Prerequisites
