The Send Feedback tool in Internet Explorer 9 Beta does not start on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows and that has Windows Live Essentials 2011 installed

Consider the following scenario:

• You install Windows Live Essentials 2011 on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows and that has Windows Internet Explorer 9 Beta installed.�
• You try to use the Send Feedback tool in Internet Explorer 9 Beta.�

In this scenario, the Send Feedback tool does not start, and you receive the following error message:Additionally, the error message window contains the following link:When you try to download and install Windows Live ID Sign-In Assistant from the link, you are notified that you already have a more recent version installed.

This issue occurs because of a change to Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant for Windows Live Essentials 2011. This change requires applications that use Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant to reference the full path of the required DLLs. However, the Send Feedback tool in Internet Explorer 9 Beta does not use the full path of the required DLLs. Therefore, the 32-bit version of the Send Feedback tool tries to load a 64-bit DLL. This behavior causes a failure that is interpreted as Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant not being installed.

To resolve this issue, upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer 9.
