"0xC0040410" error occurs when you try to join an array member to an array in Forefront TMG 2010 SP1 if the array is managed by Forefront TMG 2010 EMS

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install Microsoft Forefront Threat Management Gateway (TMG) 2010 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a stand-alone array member.
  • You configure Forefront TMG 2010 Enterprise Management Server (EMS) to manage an array.
  • You try to join the stand-alone array member to the array.
In this scenario, the stand-along array member does not join the array, and then you receive an error message that resembles the following:

This issue occurs because of a code error in Forefront TMG 2010 SP1.
