FIX: Connection pooling for a DB2 data provider does not work after you change the ClientAccounting, ClientWorkstationName, or ClientUserID property in Host Integration Server 2010

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run an application that uses Microsoft Host Integration Server 2010.
  • A DB2 connection string is created in the application by using any of the following properties:
    • ClientAccounting
    • ClientWorkstationName
    • ClientUserID
  • You enable the connection pooling in the DB2 data provider.
  • You change the value for any of these three properties.
In this scenario, the data provider does not use a connection that is already open and that is in the connection pool. Therefore, the data provider incorrectly creates a new connection.
