A project is not integrated successfully when the integration is performed from Microsoft Dynamics SL into Microsoft Office Project 2007


Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Office Project 2007 and in Microsoft Dynamics SL:
  • You open a project in the Project Maintenance (PA.PRJ.00) screen and then click to select the Microsoft Project check box.
  • You open Project 2007 to view the project that was integrated.
In this scenario, you notice that the project was not integrated from Microsoft Dynamics SL into Project 2007. Additionally, you receive the following error message in MSDSLEventlog:

DSL_2_Project Project: Queue Record:184 Project:CO110033 Error - Project Manager not fully integrated.

Then, you receive the following error message:

DSL_2_Project Project Failed On Create

Cause

This problem occurs if the GUID value is not populated in the Employee_MSPID field of the project manager record in the PJEMPLOYXREFMSP table.

Resolution

To resolve this problem, reintegrate the project manager employee. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click to clear the Integrated Resource check box in the Employee and Resource Maintenance (PA.EMP.00) screen for the project manager.
  2. Stop and then restart the Microsoft Office Project Server Events Service and the Microsoft Office Project Server Queue Service.
  3. Restart the Connector Service in Microsoft Dynamics SL. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Open the Project Controller Setup (PA.SET.00) screen.
    2. Click the Microsoft Project Connector Setup button.
    3. Click Start in the Project Connector Integration Service pane.
  4. Click to select the Integrated Resource check box in the Employee and Resource Maintenance (PA.EMP.00) screen for the project manager.
  5. Try to integrate the project again.
