The value in the UOM box does not default correctly in the Kit Assembly (10.050.00) screen in Microsoft Dynamics SL

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario in Inventory in Microsoft Dynamics SL 7.0:
  • You create a kit in the Kits (10.320.00) screen. The kit contains more than one inventory ID.
  • You enter the kit ID value in the Kit ID box in the Kit Assembly (10.050.00) screen and then let the components default into the Detail grid.
  • You change the value in the Component ID box for the first line in the Detail grid.
In this scenario, you notice that the UOM box does not contain the UOM value. Additionally, you notice that when you press F3 while the cursor is in the UOM box, the list of possible values is blank. However, you expect the UOM box to contain the UOM value that is associated with the inventory ID.



To work around this problem, manually type the correct value in the UOM box without using the list of possible values.

Resolution
