you are prompted for the account name and password. Type the Windows NT account
name and password, and then click OK to continue.

Additional consideration
By default, users cannot change some information, such as the
State,
Name,
Title,
Company,
Department, and
Office fields. If you want users to be able to modify that information,
you must set appropriate permissions on the global address list properties by
using the Exchange Server Administrator program in raw
mode.
Warning If you use the raw mode of the Exchange Server Administrator program (
admin /r) incorrectly, serious problems may occur that may require you to reinstall Microsoft Windows NT Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, or both. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems that result from using raw mode incorrectly can be solved. Use raw mode at your own risk.
- Start the Exchange Server Administrator program in raw mode
by typing the following at a command prompt:
c:\exchsrvr\bin\admin /r
- On the View menu, click Raw Directory.
- In the left pane of the window, click Schema.
- In the right pane of the window, double-click the attribute
that you want to modify, for example, the Department attribute.
- In the Object Attributes box, click Access-Category, and then change the value to 2. This grants User Access
permission for the object.
- Click Set to make the change.
- Click OK. When the warning message appears, click OK again.
