Issues that this hotfix package fixes
- Consider the following scenario:
- You open an Office Word document (docx format) that contains an embedded object when you use Office Word 2007.
- You open the embedded object from the Office Word document.
- You copy some content from the embedded object, and then you paste the content as a link into the Office Word document.
- You save and close the Office Word document.
- You open the Office Word document again.
In this scenario, the link to the content of the embedded object is broken.
- You add a digital signature to a Word document that contains a PAGE field and a NUMPAGES field in the header. However, after you print the document when you use Office Word 2007, the signature becomes invalid.
- Office Word 2007 stops responding when you try to open an HTML file. This issue occurs when the HTML file contains a table that uses a caption and contains a picture that has an area map.
- When you try to convert a Word 95 document that contains numbers by using the wordconv.exe, the numbers are not converted correctly.
- In Office Word 2007, no tooltip appears when you rest the pointer over an HTML <MAP> tag that is used in a DOCX file or an HTML file.
- In Office Word 2007, you add a bookmark in a content control that is in a table cell. You save and then you close the document. However, when you open the document in Office Word 2007 again, the bookmark is lost.
- Word 2007 prints certain documents incorrectly when the Print in background option is disabled.
- Consider the following scenario:
- You have a Word 2003 document that uses a custom style format and contains a table of content (TOC).
- You open the document by using Office Word 2007, and then you update the TOC.
In this scenario, the format of the first line and the last line of the TOC is changed.
- In a Japanese language environment for Office Word 2007, spaces or backspaces do not update indentation correctly when character units are used.
- You copy a combination of list styles and paragraph styles through the Organizer in Office Word 2007. However, wrong properties may be applied to the copied paragraph styles.
- In Office Word 2007, the content controls do not display correctly in certain scenarios, depending on the styles that are used in the contents.
