The diagnostic can be run directly on the server that is running SQL Server. Or, the diagnostic can be run from any computer that can connect to SQL Server when the computer has sufficient credentials to query the SQL Server Database. The diagnostic will run for 5 minutes, taking a sample every 5 seconds for blocking information.
