This cumulative update fixes the following issues:

  • 2401878 Changes to the Response Group Service do not take effect after you install the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 cumulative updates that are dated July 2010

This cumulative update also includes the following previously released updates:
  • 2251446 An update is available to improve the logging capabilities in Office Communications Server 2007 R2
  • 978371 An offline certificate request is formatted incorrectly when you create the certificate request in Office Communications Server 2007 R2 on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008

  • 975894 Event ID 44031 for trusted domains is logged frequently in Office Communications Server 2007 R2

  • 972717 An Office Communications Server 2007 R2 update server does not return the information for the updates that are installed on the update server

  • 968882 Error message when you open an audit log file for Office Communications Server 2007 R2: "The process cannot access the log file because is being used any another process"

Note When you apply this cumulative update on servers that are running Windows Server 2008 and that have the User Account Control (UAC) enabled, make sure that you start the installation of the update (.msp) by using the elevated Command Prompt. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then right-click Command Prompt.
  2. Click Run as administrator.


    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. At the command prompt, start the update (.msp).
