The Transaction Integrator Designer cannot recognize data structures from a COBOL copybook in a Host Integration Server 2010, Host Integration Server 2009, or Host Integration Server 2006 Service Pack 1 environment

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

In a Microsoft Host Integration Server environment, you may notice that the Transaction Integrator (TI) Designer cannot recognize data structures from a COBOL copybook.

For example, you create a TI project and then import a COBOL copybook. In the Import COBOL Wizard, you select the DFHCOMARE parameters and leave all other parameters as default values. Then, you click Next to view the results. In this scenario, you find that the data structures are not recognized correctly and that you have to manually edit all the data values in the wizard.
