Downtime is incurred when you move the content database from one server to another server in SharePoint Foundation 2010

Symptoms

You move a content database from one server to another server in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010. Then, you configure the SharePoint server to connect the new content database. In this situation, there is a period of downtime when users cannot access the SharePoint sites. This hotfix eliminates the downtime when you move the content database.
 
Note After you apply this hotfix, there is still a period that the content database is in the read-only status when you move the content database.

To resolve this issue, apply the following updates:
