A compatibility problem exists between the Orange Toolbar and Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms

You see a dialog window after you open Internet Explorer which states that your installed version of the Orange Toolbar is not compatible with Internet Explorer 8.

Cause

The Orange Toolbar is an add-on for Internet Explorer. Your version of the Orange Toolbar is incompatible with Internet Explorer 8.

Resolution

To resolve this issue manually, follow these steps:

  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
  2. Open a new Internet Explorer window.
  3. When you see the message that states “Manage add-ons” for the Orange Toolbar, click Always open Internet Explorer without this add-on.

The add-on will be disabled and will not be loaded again when you start Internet Explorer.
