A compatibility problem exists between Baidu Toolbar and Internet Explorer 8

Symptoms

After you open Internet Explorer, you see a dialog window that states that your installed version of the Baidu Toolbar is incompatible with Windows Internet Explorer 8. You can disable the Baidu Toolbar add-in or update it to the latest version to solve this problem.

Resolution

Update Baidu Toolbar

Install the latest version of the Baidu Toolbar(2.8.520.178) to make it compatible with Internet Explorer 8.

Manual steps to disable Baidu Toolbar

To disable the Baidu Toolbar add-in, follow these steps:
  1. Close all Internet Explorer windows.
  2. Open a new Internet Explorer window.
  3. When you see the message that states "Manage add-ons" for the Baidu Toolbar, click Always open Internet Explorer without this add-on.

    Note The add-in is now disabled and will not be loaded again. Internet Explorer 8 should now work without any issues.
