XL2000: Enter Parameters Dialog Box Is Blank When You Load Your Web Page

When you open your Web page in Internet Explorer, the Enter Parameters dialog box is displayed. However, the dialog box is blank and you are unable to enter the parameters necessary to populate the Microsoft Office PivotTable control on your Web page. When you click Cancel, the PivotTable control displays the following error message:

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

• The PivotTable list was published using a PivotTable or a list stored on a Microsoft Excel worksheet.

• The source data for the PivotTable list is stored in a Microsoft Access database.
  
  -and-
  
  
• The query used to retrieve the data from the Access database requires the use of one or more parameters.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
