Symptoms

When you try to export to the Paradox 7-8 format, you may receive the following error message:
Invalid Operation.
The error message does not occur when you export to other Paradox formats.

Cause

To export to Paradox formats later than Paradox version 5.0, you need to have the Borland Database Engine (BDE) installed on your computer.

Resolution

Obtain the Borland Database Engine (BDE) from either Inprise or a third-party vendor.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1.Open the sample database, Northwind.mdb.
2.Right-click the Employees table, and then click Export.
3.In the Save as Type box, click Paradox 7-8, and then click Save.
Note that you receive the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
