To resolve this issue, you can either delete the contents of the Windows\Temp folder from a command prompt, or you can increase the amount of disk space that is available on the drive in which the Temp folder resides.
Method 1
To delete the contents of the Temp folder from a command prompt, follow these steps:
- Click Start, Click Shut Down, and then click Restart in MS-DOS mode.
- At the command prompt, type cd\, and then press the ENTER key.
- Type the following command
cd x:\windir\temp
where x the name of the drive in which Windows is installed, and then press ENTER. - Type the following command
del *.*
and then press ENTER. - Type exit, and then press ENTER to return to Windows.
