Consider the following scenario:
- You enable the Auto-hide the taskbar option on a computer that is running Windows 7. For more information about how to enable this option, see the "More information" section.
- In Control Panel, you configure both of the following power options in the Power Options item:
- You configure the computer to turn off the display after a specified time.
- You configure the computer never to sleep.
- You minimize or close all the windows on the desktop. There is no open window on the desktop.
- After the display is turned off as configured, you resume the display.
- When you move the mouse to the bottom of the screen, the taskbar does not appear.
- When you press the windows key, the taskbar and the Start menu do not appear.
- When you click or double-click any desktop icon, there is no response.
