FIX: An application does not free the resources of Multichannel Engine nested-containers in CCF 2009 if the application creates the nested containers dynamically

View products that this article applies to.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:
  • You run an application that uses the Multichannel Engine of Microsoft Customer Care Framework (CCF) 2009.
  • The application calls the RegisterContainer or RegisterNestedContainer method. The application uses the method to dynamically create Multichannel Engine nested-containers.
  • A parent view that contains the nested containers is not unregistered.

In this situation, the application does not free resources of the nested containers. For example, the application does not free any WinForm controls.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Multichannel Engine API cannot delete nested containers that are created dynamically.
