'Element Not Found' after upgrading to Excel 2010 when adding Controls from MSCOMCTl.dll

Symptoms

When trying adding controls from the MSCOMCTL.OCX such as the Microsoft ListView Control 6.0 (SP6) you receive the following error message:


"Element not Found"�

"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"

Resolution

Click on the RUN line and type in the following;


regsvr32 C:\Windows\System32\MSCOMCTL.OCX

If successful the message will display.�
