Workaround

To work around this problem, use the following steps:
  1. Gather a list of all pages that have been deleted:

    1. Open the Web in question in FrontPage.
    2. Click Tools, and then click Recalculate Hyperlinks on the menu bar.
    3. Click Yes when prompted.
    4. When the recalculation encounters the error in the navigation structure, it will display an error message similar to the following:
Server Error: The folder that would hold URL /Path/_overlay/File.ext does not exist on the server.
    5. Take note of any pages referenced.
  2. Remove the list of pages from the navigation:

    1. Click View, and then click Navigation on the menu bar.
    2. Locate the page in the navigation structure.
    3. Right-click on the file and choose Delete on the pop-up menu.
    4. Choose Delete this page from the web.
    5. Click OK.
    6. Click Tools, and then click Recalculate Hyperlinks on the menu bar.
    7. Click Yes when prompted.
  3. Repeat the previous step for each page that no longer exists in the Web.
  4. Browse your Web. All the Banner and Button graphics should appear correctly.
