After you create a database connection that has a close parenthesis (such as ")" without quotation marks) in it, the connection verifies.
However, when returning to the Database tab in Web Settings, the connection does not appear.
The connection is also not listed in the list of database connections in the Database Results Wizard.

To work around this issue, avoid parenthesis in your database connection names. It is generally not a good idea to use non-standard characters (characters that are not letters or numbers) to refer to database connections.
To work around this issue, you may use a dash (-) to represent the necessary character in your database name.
