INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • You cannot load a certain Excel OLE object in Microsoft Excel 2010. This issue occurs when the Excel OLE object was saved in a pre-Excel 2010 version of Excel.

Note Typically this problem occurs when you try to enable the OLE embedding.  A generic error message is displayed and the OLE embedding cannot be in-place enabled.

  • Office 2010 does not support certain certificates in a Windows 7 or Windows Vista environment. Specifically, these unsupported certificates use private keys that are stored by a third-party cryptographic service provider (CSP). Therefore, an Office 2010 document cannot be signed by using a Cryptographic API (CAPI).
  • You create a document that contains binary signatures in a Microsoft Office 2007 application. Then you open the document in an Office 2010 application. In this situation, the binary signatures of the document are displayed as "invalid".
